Hello, I'm John, the man behind Calling it Done.

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, I've been painting minatures since I got my first set of Warhammer 40k 2nd edition models 30 years ago. Over the last few years, I've been painting for friends and family, building my skills and decided in March 2022 that it needed to become a business.

 

In January 2023, my daughter was born, and in June 2023 I gave up my day job to start the handover for my wife going back to work. With the little one now using some free hours at nursery, Calling it Done is in business.

With three different painting standards to choose from, there's a paint job for every budget. I'll happily build, magnetise, and make any conversions you need, before painting, so you can focus on the fun, and have your models ready for play without the hassle.
